Funding and Collateral
Fund with BTC or an eligible stablecoin. Select the asset and network together in your account’s deposit instructions, then track the transfer until it is credited.
Stablecoin Reference
Section titled “Stablecoin Reference”These official references help identify the token you hold. Your account’s deposit instructions specify which asset–network combinations it accepts.
| Asset | Official Reference | What to Check |
|---|---|---|
| USDT | Tether | Select the exact network, such as Ethereum, Tron, or Solana, and its token contract |
| USDC | Circle | Match the native USDC contract or mint on the selected chain; bridged versions such as USDC.e have separate identifiers |
| DAI / USDS | Sky | DAI and USDS are separate tokens. Match the requested symbol and contract |
| FDUSD | First Digital Labs | Check the chain and the issuer’s token identifier |
| PYUSD | PayPal USD | Match the network and token identifier, including when using Arbitrum |
| USDe | Ethena | USDe is a synthetic dollar; sUSDe is a separate staked asset |
For BTC, use the Bitcoin deposit instructions. Wrapped Bitcoin tokens and Lightning invoices use different transfer routes.
Match the Margin Asset
Section titled “Match the Margin Asset”For a USDT-settled BTC perpetual, profit or loss is recorded in USDT. For a USDC-settled contract, it is recorded in USDC. The market record identifies each contract’s settlement asset and quantity units.
Example: you deposit BTC and want to trade a Binance BTC/USDT perpetual. Check whether the account accepts BTC as collateral for that contract or requires conversion to USDT. Review the conversion quote or collateral valuation before placing the order.
A collateral haircut reduces the value counted toward margin. At an illustrative BTC price of $77,000, a 1 BTC balance with a 10% haircut contributes $69,300 of margin value. A fall in BTC’s price reduces that value even if the BTC balance stays the same. Stablecoin depegging can also reduce collateral value.
Read Your Balance
Section titled “Read Your Balance”| Balance | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Total | Amount recorded in the account ledger for that asset |
| Committed | Amount reserved for orders, positions, transfers, or settlement |
| Available | Amount remaining for new account activity, subject to exchange margin rules |
In the balance example, 10,000 USDT total minus 2,500 USDT committed leaves 7,500 USDT available. Check exchange-level margin before assigning that balance to a new order.
Track Deposit Confirmations
Section titled “Track Deposit Confirmations”The deposit record supplies confirmations, required_confirmations, and status. Use the threshold for that deposit’s asset and network. A confirmation count for Ethereum does not apply to Bitcoin or Solana.
Example: the USDC deposit record shows 5,000 USDC on Ethereum, 12 observed confirmations, 12 required confirmations, and credited. The value 12 illustrates that record; it is not a confirmation schedule for other deposits.
| Status | What to Do |
|---|---|
detected |
Save the deposit ID and transaction hash; monitor the record |
confirming |
Compare observed confirmations with the required count |
review |
Follow the account’s request for additional information |
credited |
Reconcile the amount against the asset balance |
rejected |
Contact support with the deposit ID and transaction details before attempting another transfer |
Find a Missing Deposit
Section titled “Find a Missing Deposit”- No transaction hash: check whether the sending wallet or exchange has broadcast the transfer.
- Hash exists, confirmations pending: inspect the transaction on the selected network’s explorer.
- Confirmed onchain, absent from the account: compare the network, token contract, receiving address, amount, and any required memo with the deposit instructions.
Contact Us with the asset, network, transaction hash, amount, time, and deposit ID if available. Keep wallet keys and seed phrases private.
See Withdrawals & Networks for network identifiers and transfer checks.
